Subodh Bhave and Sharad Kelkar’s Har Har Mahadev is all set for a grand release tomorrow. It’s the first-ever pan-India film from the Marathi film industry and will be releasing in five Indian languages across the country. Let’s see how it is faring at the box office through the advance booking trends for day 1.
For those who don’t know, the historic epic period film is helmed by Abhijeet Deshpande. It witnesses a stellar star cast coming together with Subodh Bhave, Sharad Kelkar, Amruta Khanvilkar, Milind Shinde, Mohan Joshi, Sharad Ponkshe and others playing key roles. It will be screened in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Har Har Mahadev is looking for a rocking start tomorrow despite a two Bollywood Diwali releases arriving in the form of Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and Ajay Devgn-led Thank God. Despite these two films dominating the show count in Maharashtra, the Abhijeet Deshpande directorial is witnessing terrific response and in fact, dominating Akshay and Ajay’s biggies. That’s incredible!
Till now (as per the update at 9:30 pm), Har Har Mahadev has witnessed a ticket sale of a whopping 29 lakhs in Maharashtra. This number is from the sale of Marathi version only and figures for other dubbed versions are yet to be reported from all across the country. The ticket sale is actually more than Ram Setu and Thank God, which is simply superb and shows the anticipation for the film among Marathi audience.
In the past, we have seen films like Dharmaveer, Sarsenapati Hambirrao and Pawankhind dominating Hindi films in the state that released during the same period. Har Har Mahadev too is expected to receive blockbuster response at the box office. The film is now looking to the biggest ever start for a Marathi film.
