We all remember the good old days when our favorite sitcoms used to be telecast on TV. One such iconic sitcom is FIR, which used to enjoy a splendid run from the late 2000s to the mid-2010s. Over the years, it built a loyal fan base and even today, after many years since it went off the air, its fans remember the show and watch old episodes. Amid this, let’s revisit the salary of Kavita Kaushik, who was one of the backbones of the show.
For those who don’t know, Kavita used to play the role of sub-inspector/inspector Chandramukhi Chautala. She added her unique Haryanvi touch to the character and her no-nonsense portrayal of the female police officer was loved by the audience. Her chemistry with her co-stars like Gopi Bhalla, Kiku Sharda, and Aamir Ali was also loved by the audience. We can say that the character of Chandramukhi was tailor-made for her.
When Kavita Kaushik left the show in 2013, FIR witnessed a downfall in TV ratings and faced criticism from the viewers. This proved that Kavita was irreplaceable and the makers had no other option than to bring her back. In 2014, Kavita was brought back and once again, the show witnessed a boost in its viewership.
For being such an important member of FIR, Kavita Kaushik was paid a solid 60,000-65,000 rupees for each episode, as per rumors. This amount was given to her during the final years of the show, i.e., during 2014-2015. Back in the day, this salary amount was huge and the actress rightly deserved every penny.
Meanwhile, FIR started its television journey on July 31, 2006, and its final episode aired on January 23, 2015.
