Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’s Gopi bahu has shocked one and all by unveiling her hot avatar and belly dancing skills. The fans were stunned after watching this new version of their beloved Gopi Bahu.
The show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, showed Devoleena Bhattacharjee as a typical Indian daughter-in-law who wore nothing but Indian wear with heavy statement jewelry. The show made a stereotypical image of her on the television. However, recently, she shocked her fans by posting a belly dancing video.
While posting the video, she wrote, “Practice. Practice. Practice. In love with this dance form. I have not yet learned properly to post a full dance. I am still learning. But I am sure as soon as I finish my course will share it with you all for sure. Till then, enjoy this.”
In her comment section, she received a mix of appreciation and criticism. While some of her fans were quite happy that she is trying a new hobby, some were quite harsh on her as it seems vulgar to them. Those who criticized her always saw her as a typical traditional girl and could not take it if she posted something like belly dance.
For the unversed, Devoleena had a back injury in 2013, which ceased her from dancing for years. However, she did not give up on her passion. The swinging belly dance proved her love for dance. One user took a funny dig at her by writing, “Do slowly otherwise your backbone pain will start again.” Another wrote, “Gope bahu have you forgotten your values?” Apart from such digs, there were lots of appreciation comments for the actress.
