Sooryavanshi and KGF Chapter 2 are amongst the highly anticipated releases of India. In today’s release date updates round-up, we’ll be taking a look at the latest news to come out of their camp about their arrival. While the former is still in the speculative mode, the latter has got an official word.
Sooryavanshi
Akshay Kumar’s highly awaited cop-drama is in waiting for release since March 2020. If not the pandemic, the film would have witnessed multiple telecasts on television till now. But the fact of the matter is, COVID has spoilt the plans twice and so, the makers are taking steps very carefully. As per strong reports, Sooryavanshi is being discussed for a release on Gandhi Jayanti i.e. 2nd October. Theatres are expected to start operating normally by July end. Being cautious this time, Rohit Shetty and the team are considering a couple of months extra to make sure they reach every single theatre in India. Expect an official word in July.
KGF Chapter 2
Speaking of Yash’s KGF Chapter 2, the film was earlier scheduled for a release on 16th July 2021. Now, an official word has come and the makers have decided not to arrive on a scheduled date. As the film has been shot on a massive scale and given it’s a PAN India project, the makers are taking it slowly. If reports are to be believed, the Dussehra festival has been discussed for the arrival as RRR is expected to vacant the festive slot.
Bell Bottom
This week’s biggest announcement came from Akshay Kumar’s camp as his Bell Bottom got an official release date. Akshay, leading from the front, will be arriving on 27th July in cinemas with his action thriller. The film will witness a theatrical release worldwide.
83
Ranveer Singh’s 83 is another Bollywood project which is desperately awaiting the theatres reopening. The film that is only meant to be enjoyed on big screens, is now reportedly being discussed for its arrival in November.
Toofan
Another official announcement came this week from Farhan Akhtar‘s camp. The film was supposed to release a bit earlier on Amazon Prime Video, but due to the pandemic, the makers put their release on hold. It was a symbolic gesture to show solidarity with the nation. Now, as the country is slowly getting back on track, Toofan has been announced to release on 16th July.
