With such a huge success, Zee Studios has proposed a plan for a hybrid release of Ajay Devgn‘s upcoming sports drama, Maidaan, as well as Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma starrer Antim. Interestingly, Maidaan is Zee’s own film, so it’s almost confirmed of taking a hybrid release route. On the other hand, Zee has established good relations with Salman, so expect Antim to take the same route.

Apart from the aforementioned biggies, Zee is planning to release a couple of big-budget South Indian films with the same model.

Speaking of Maidaan, it’s a historical sports film based on the true story of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. It’s helmed by Amit Sharma. Antim is a Hindi remake of the Marathi hit, Mulshi Pattern. It stars Aayush Sharma in a grey-shaded character alongside Salman. It’s directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.
