Former Indian cricket team captain, MS Dhoni has been linked with various Bollywood actresses in the past. One such, reportedly, is Deepika Padukone. It’s said that Maahi had a huge crush on him.

In 2007, Deepika Padukone made her debut in the industry with ‘Om Shanti Om’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Dhoni had asked for a special screening of the film from SRK and revealed his crush on DP. In one of the T20 matches against Australia, DP was invited by Dhoni where she was seen cheering for his team.

However, the star cricketer distanced himself from the diva after hearing about her link-up rumours with Yuvraj Singh on social media.

Even though none of them spoke about their relationship in the public interviews or conversations, reports stated that MS Dhoni even cut his long hair because Deepika did not like it. Everything was going smoothly until Deepika and Yuvraj Singh’s rumoured affair stormed the internet and media. At that point, Dhoni decided to separate himself from the actress.

This wasn’t the first time, MS Dhoni was linked up with actresses as in the past, Dhoni’s name has been attached with Asin and Raai Laxmi.

In 2010, Dhoni got married to Sakshi Singh. Eight years later, in 2018, Deepika Padukone got married to Ranveer Singh in a lavish wedding in Italy.

Speaking of Yuvraj Singh, in an interview, he had opened up about his relationship with Deepika by saying, “We didn’t spend enough time with each other to know if it was going to be a long-term thing. As things turned out, she moved on and so did I.”

Thankfully, both the cricketers are well settled in life after ‘unsuccessful’ half-baked love with a Bollywood actress. However, that happens very rarely as many cricketers have even married Bollywood beauties after having an amazing love story. Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma and Hardik Pandya-Natasa Stankovic are among those lucky pairs.
