As mentioned above, Rashami Desai was offered the character of Angoori initially. However, she opted out because Rohitashv Gour was playing her husband in the show. She thought Gour was too old to play the role of her husband. In a conversation with the Times of India, Shilpa Shinde revealed the same. She said, “It is strange that Rashami opted out. You are not getting married to your co-actor in real life to be worried about looking good or bad on-screen. If the script is good and if you give your best to the show, I am sure the chemistry will work out between the two actors.”

Post Rashami Desai opting out, Shilpa Shinde took up the role and the rest is history. Shilpa, with her innocence and charm, made the character a superhit within a few episodes and her catchphrase “Sahi pakde hai” became a rage. She had even praised her co-actor, Rohitashv, on several occasions as he helped her deliver dialogues in a Kanpur dialect since she is a Maharashtrian.

Shilpa Shinde left Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai in 2016 due to disputes with the producer. Shubhangi Atre replaced her in mid-2016 and has been doing a good job until now.
