Despite all such positivity, TMKOC has been in the highlight for some wrong reasons too, on few occasions. One such incident is related to Shyam Pathak who was allegedly asked to leave the show.

Back in 2017, Dilip Joshi had travelled to London to perform a live show. Hence, in order to adapt to Dilip’s schedule, the makers of TMKOC changed the shooting schedules of other actors accordingly. Interestingly, when Dilip reached London, the crowd wanted to see ‘Popatlal’ Shyam with him.

At the crowd’s request, Dilip Joshi asked Shyam Pathak if he wants to perform in London. Shyam agreed and immediately flew to London. The duo performed three stand-ups there which were super hit. Allegedly, this all happened without information to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah makers. It further led to disturbance in the schedule of other members. The makers were p*ssed off with Shyam’s unprofessional behaviour.

When Shyam Pathak returned and confronted the makers, he was met with great anger. The argument got so nasty that Asit Kumarr Modi asked the actor to leave the show. In fact, the actor didn’t come to shoot for 4 days.

Eventually, both Shyam and the makers sorted out the issue, giving a happy ending to a nasty fight!
