When a movie is announced, audiences love knowing who is being cast as the main leads, and the big names that will appear in the supporting cast. But what causes more excitement and stirs curiosity is the special appearances of actors or actresses. Recently, it came to be known that Kalki 2898 AD star Prabhas has shot a cameo for actor Vishnu Manchu-led movie Kannappa.
It is being reported that Prabhas has charged zero fees for Kannappa as he shares a good bond with Mohan Babu, who is the producer of the movie as they had worked together in Bujjigadu: Made in Chennai (2008).
Here’s a list of Indian actors who did memorable cameos in recent movies, charged absolutely nothing for it, and received a lot of love from the viewers:
Shah Rukh Khan – He made a special appearance in the recent movie, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022), for which he charged nothing. He also reportedly did not charge any money for his small role in Brahmastra: Part 1 (2022), and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).
Salman Khan – Bhai is known to have a heart of gold and is keen to help out friends in the industry. He did not seek remuneration for his brief appearance in Pathaan (2023). He also made a cameo appearance in Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, for which he didn’t charge a single penny.
Suriya – Suriya was seen playing significant but small roles in both Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022) and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram (2022), and did not ask for remuneration in either of these films.
Deepika Padukone – Bollywood’s lady superstar made a special appearance in husband Ranveer Singh’s ‘83 (2021) and Cirkus (2022), and for both these movies she charged nothing.
