Approached to play Manmohan Tiwari in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai?

Saas Bahu Aur Suspense team of India TV had a day out with Sandeep Aanand. During his appearance, Sandeep revealed that after gaining popularity with FIR, he was approached with the character of Manmohan Tiwari in Bhabiji show. Bhabiji’s producers- Binaifer Kohli and Sanjay Kohli wanted Sandeep to play Tiwari.

How his character of Puttan came to life?

However, for some reason, Sandeep couldn’t bag the role. Rohitashv Gour eventually got the role. Director Shashank Bali, who is a good friend of Sandeep and well aware of his comic timing, created a role of Puttan for him. As Puttan is such a character who emerges out of nowhere and doesn’t require a properly planned storyline, Shashank decided to cast Sandeep as Puttan. And that’s how he joined Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai.

Sandeep has also been part of May I Come In Madam? which too was directed by Shashank Bali.

Rest of the cast

Speaking of the show, Shubhangi Atre plays the character of Angoori, wife of Manmohan Tiwari. Aasif Sheikh plays Vibhuti Narayan Mishra. Nehha Pendse plays Vibhuti’s wife, Anita Mishra. Other actors include- Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh), Saanand Verma (Anokhelal Saxena), Deepesh Bhan (Malkhan), Vaibhav Mathur (Tika) and Syed Salim Zaidi (Tillu).

The show earlier this year completed 6 years of its run.
