Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun in the lead is definitely one of the highly anticipated pan-Indian films as each and every news about the film is spreading like wildfire in no time. The latest we hear is about the budget and the number that is coming in is really huge.
If we take a look at the prequel, Pushpa achieved tremendous success at the box office during a time when the filmmakers were scared to release their films. It had big competitors in the form of Spider-Man: No Way Home and 83. On top of that, there was a rule of 50% occupancy in almost all the Indian states. Toppling such hurdles, the film managed to rake in fantastic numbers. In the Hindi version, it made 110 crores, while 137 crores came from the Telugu version. Including numbers from the remaining versions, the film made 270 crores at the Indian box office.
Apart from such box office success, Pushpa has even earned its loyal fan base on the OTT platform. With such popularity, it’s obvious that expectations are sky high from Pushpa 2. Now, as per the latest reports doing rounds, we have heard that the makers hike their budget and have allowed a whopping 350 crores for the film. Isn’t that unbelievable?
The first part had a budget of 150-155 crores, so it’s more than double for Pushpa 2. Apart from the making, it is learnt that Allu Arjun has demanded a hike in fees, leading to an increase in the cost. Also, it is said that Vijay Sethupathi is coming on board, thus pushing the numbers further. Apart from these things, the makers have decided to take their production value one step up as they want to keep up with the standard of pan-Indian cinema and present the audience with a big-screen visual spectacle.
Helmed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 will witness Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna reprising their roles.
