Varisu VS Thunivu Box Office Collection Till Now (3 Days): Thalapathy Vijay Is Dominating In A Clash With Ajith Kumar But With A Small Margin!

The high voltage clash – Varisu vs Thunivu – is in progress at the box office and so far, it’s Thalapathy Vijay who is dominating the Pongal battle over another Tamil superstar, Ajith Kumar. However, the distance between the two isn’t much and tables could turn on any day. Now, the numbers for the first 3 days are out, so let’s take a collection both films have made till now!

Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu wins the opening day battle but Ajith Kumar’s Thunivi shines on home ground!

As both Vijay and Ajith are big stars in Tamil Nadu, all eyes were set on who will secure maximum screens. Interestingly, it was Ajith who got an upper hand with Thunivu, eventually leading to better performance at the end of the day. However, speaking about the overall Indian collection, Vijay’s film scored 26.80 crores nett on day 1, leaving Ajith’s actioner (24.50 crores nett) behind.

Thing to be noted is that, Varisu only had collections coming from Tamil version, whereas Thunivu had Tamil and Telugu versions simultaneously playing in theatres.

After scoring 26.80 crores on day 1, Vijay’s family entertainer dipped on day 2 and added 11.60 crores. On day 3, it again dropped to 10.10 crores, thus standing at a total of 48.50 crores nett at the Indian box office.

On the other hand, Ajith’s actioner too saw a dip in numbers as it went from 24.50 crores to 11.90 crores on day. On day 3, it again went low up to 8.60 crores, taking the 3-day total to 45 crores nett.

One can clearly see that Thalapathy Vijay has won the battle at the Indian box office in the first 3 days. However, Ajith Kumar isn’t much behind and things can change anytime.
