After a passable 2022, Salman Khan is set to make a big screen comeback in 2023. His two biggies are releasing next year- Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3. Speaking about KKBKKJ, the film was supposed to arrive during Christmas alongside Cirkus. Now, it is all set for Eid release but things aren’t looking smooth enough at the box office. The reason? Jailer and Ponniyin Selvan 2!
For those who don’t know, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan was supposed to release during Christmas 2022, but as the film is yet to get complete, it has been postponed to Eid 2023. Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 will now be arriving on Diwali 2023 instead of Eid. Initially, it was an open ground for KKBKKJ, but now, it is facing double threat.
Reportedly, Rajinikanth’s next with Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer is all set to release on the occasion of Tamil New Year, which falls on 14th April 2023. Even before the rise of pan-India scene, Rajini has been a crowd puller in the Hindi belt. It’s just a matter of one good film and Thalaiva mania will be back among the Hindi audience. It is heard that the film will witness a pan-India release and without a doubt, it will grab good number of screens.
If Jailer clicks with the audience in the Hindi belt, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which releases on 21st April 2023, will definitely feel the impact. No doubt, Salman Khan will nail the box office during Eid, but the real challenge comes after a week!
Yes, after a week, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be facing a big threat in the form of Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi and Aishwarya Rai starrer Ponniyin Selvan 2 (releasing on 28th April 2023). For those who aren’t aware, Ponniyin Selvan 1 had done a decent business in the Hindi dubbed version despite mixed reviews. Ever since part 2’s release date has been announced, there’s a good buzz around it and the sequel factor definitely gives it an edge in garnering good screen count.
One can clearly see, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan won’t be having a completely smooth ride at the box office. Let’s see what happens when the film releases!
