Shamshera advance booking report: Ranbir Kapoor is all set to make a grand comeback tomorrow with his film arriving after 4 years post blockbuster Sanju. Of course, the actor has built his strong following over the years and it is expected said to help YRF’s magnum opus on an opening day. But in reality, is the film really in a position to take a strong start at the box office? Let’s find out.
Helmed by Karan Malhotra, Shamshera stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Ronit Roy and others in key roles. Going by trailer and overall looks, the film gives an impression of a big screen spectacle. It was predicted to work well in both the premium multiplexes and mass centres. However, so far the advance booking has been underwhelming and much below expectations.
Ranbir Kapoor starrer was touted to be the biggest opener for Bollywood in 2022 by overtaking Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2‘s 14.11 crores. However, it looks like a tough task now as Shamshera has just accumulated around 3.50 crores from advance booking so far, which is much lower than BB 2’s 6.70 crores. Please note that the update is as of Thursday evening.
Now all eyes are set on spot bookings and how word-of-mouth comes into play post-morning shows. Nonetheless, a decent start is on the cards and the film will make 10 crore+ on an opening day. Going beyond 15 crores looks really tough as of now.
Meanwhile, Shamshera is the biggest release of Ranbir Kapoor with a screen count of 4350 in India.
