After a decent start, things aren’t looking good for Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu. The film earned 15.25 crores on day 1 due to the Diwali holiday. Yesterday, despite the Bhaidooj holiday at several places, the film couldn’t sustain the momentum as a collection of 11.40 crores came in. Now, here’s how the film performed on day 3 at the box office.
Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, Ram Setu was touted to be an event film by trade experts and Akki fans. However, it totally failed in fetching that kind of towering numbers, that too on an occasion like Diwali. During the same period, Akshay has given bumper collections with Housefull 4 and Sooryavanshi. Sadly, here things are not looking good.
Coming from Bhaidooj, Ram Setu had a normal working day today and as per early estimates, the film is earning somewhere between 7-8 crores. It’s once again a dip numbers from yesterday’s 11.40 crores. The Akshay Kumar starrer has now weekend left to fetch most of the numbers as things look dicey from Monday onwards.
Ram Setu’s 3-day collection stands between 33.65-34.65 crores.
Considering the fact that Ram Setu carries a huge budget, the film needs to show big jumps on Saturday and Sunday. It has to past the mark of 120-130 crores to avoid any negative tags at the box office.
The film also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Satyadev, Pravesh Rana and Nassar.
