Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam has stunned everyone with its performance at the worldwide box office. Despite two big films in front of it, Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj, Venky Mama has roared with a fantastic collection in India and overseas. While it has already achieved several milestones, very soon, it’ll also touch the 250 crore mark globally. However, it won’t be able to cross Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and will end its run as the third highest-grossing film among Tollywood’s Sankranti releases.
The winning combination of director Anil Ravipudi and Venky has struck gold once again, and this time, the duo has delivered their biggest hit ever. Released on January 14, the Telugu entertainer opened to mostly favorable reviews from critics. Also, among the ticket-buying audience, it enjoyed positive word-of-mouth. However, despite positive reactions, the film was expected to suffer a dent due to the other two Sankranti biggies but in reality, the audience neglected the other two films once this Venkatesh starrer took over.
After a solid start in India and overseas, Sankranthiki Vasthunam maintained a stronghold at ticket windows. As per the latest collection update, the film has amassed 174 crore net at the Indian box office in 21 days. Including taxes, the gross collection in India stands at 205.32 crores.
Overseas, too, Sankranthiki Vasthunam has posted an impressive total of 35 crore gross. Combining this with the Indian gross, the worldwide box office collection stands at a whopping 240.32 crore gross after 21 days. It’s already a huge hit and soon, it’ll also touch the milestone of 250 crores.

A few days back, it crossed Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru (225.06 crores) to become the third highest-grossing film among Telugu Sankranti releases. As the collection has now slowed down, the Venkatesh starrer will end its run in a similar position. Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo looks out of reach with a collection of 273.18 crores.
