After a historic start, the film has now headed for an epic collection on day 2 that has never been heard before in the history of Indian cinema. Yes, the magic of Republic Day has worked big time and below is all you need to know.
Blockbuster start along with a terrific word-of-mouth
Yesterday, Pathaan earned a massive 57 crores nett in India (inclusive of 55 crores of Hindi and 2 crores of Tamil, Telugu). The number is simply outstanding and is the biggest ever opening in the history of Hindi cinema. It crossed KGF Chapter 2’s mammoth opening. On the top of that, the word-of-mouth has been extraordinary. This lethal combo is now going smash the box office in the coming days.
Pathaan day 2 collection
Now, coming to day 2 collection, Pathaan is on its way to create unprecedented record by earning not 60 but 70 crores nett on Republic Day. Yes, you read that right! As per early estimates flowing in, the film is expected to end up doing business of 70-72 crores nett (inclusive of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu). Please note that these are estimates and the number might go a bit here and there.
We might even get 70 crores from the Hindi version as the night shows have been crazy all across the country. So, Bollywood is on its way to get its first ever 60 crore and 70 crore grosser (for a single day). Man, this is simply insane!
