Apart from the domestic market, Punjabi films also enjoy a considerable audience base in the overseas market. Written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the Punjabi romantic comedy is the third installment of the highly popular franchise, Jatt & Juliet. It was released in theatres on June 27, 2024. Upon its release, the film opened to mostly favorable reviews from critics and audiences. So, other than the franchise factor, positive word-of-mouth helped it attract consistent footfalls.
Jatt & Juliet 3 ran successfully in theatres for almost one and a half months and while it is still playing at a few selected locations, the collection won’t be reported any further. Here, in India, the biggie amassed 38 crores net approximately. Including taxes, the gross collection at the Indian box office stands at 44.84 crores. The film is made on a modest budget of over 10 crores, so against this cost, it has been declared a blockbuster.
In the overseas market, too, Jatt & Juliet 3 has emerged as a historic success. In fact, it has earned more internationally than in India. As per the final update, the film amassed 57.60 crores gross internationally. On the whole, the Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa starrer has closed its worldwide box office run by earning a staggering 102.44 crores gross.
With this, Jatt & Juliet 3 has ended its journey by being the highest-grossing Indian Punjabi film ever at the worldwide box office. If we also include Punjabi films from Pakistan, this biggie is the second highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time.
