Despite a mileage of RRR, Ram Charan has failed to create any impact with his magnum opus, Game Changer. Mounted on a big scale, expectations from the film were sky-high but in reality, it has raked in poor numbers at the worldwide box office. The makers claimed that 186 crore gross came in on the opening day itself but shockingly, the film didn’t come close to the claimed number even after spending 3 days in theatres.
The collaboration of Ram Charan and Shankar looked exciting but the makers failed to raise any excitement around the film. The songs, teaser, and even the trailer failed to create any buzz. As a result, the magnum opus was entirely dependent on Charan’s star power and word-of-mouth. On the opening day, the face value of Charan did bring in some numbers but since the content received mostly negative feedback, the film earned disastrous numbers in the opening weekend.
As per the latest collection update, Game Changer has earned just 94.80 crore net at the Indian box office in the first 3 days. Including taxes, the gross domestic collection stands at 111.86 crore gross. Overseas, too, the film is heading for a disaster with just 25.66 crore gross coming in by the end of Sunday. Combining the Indian and overseas gross, the worldwide box office collection of the Ram Charan starrer stands at just 137.52 crore gross by the end of the opening weekend.
Overseas, the North American market (USA and Canada) was expected to contribute a strong number but in the first 3 days, it has fetched just 15.76 crore gross.
Today, Game Changer has crashed badly and it might fail to even hit the 10 crore mark. So, it’s heading towards one of the biggest disasters in the history of Indian cinema. For those who don’t know, the film is made on a budget of 450 crores.
