Gabbar Singh Re-Release Day 1 Box Office: Creates History, Beats Murari’s 5.41 Crores With Almost 58% Higher Collection

Pawan Kalyan once again proved his star power by creating history with his Gabbar Singh, which was re-released in theatres yesterday. On the occasion of the power star’s birthday, special shows of his blockbuster have been arranged at selected locations across the globe and the response on day 1 was phenomenal. In fact, the film has created a history at the worldwide box office with its opening day collection.

For those who aren’t aware, Gabbar Singh was originally released in 2012, and it’s an official Telugu remake of Salman Khan’s Dabangg. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film was a huge box office success and also enjoyed critical acclaim, which is rarely seen in the case of Pawan Kalyan’s mass entertainers. On September 2, it re-released in theatres, marking the 56th birthday of the Tollywood superstar. The premiere shows of the same were arranged on September 1’s night.

The advance booking report for the film’s re-release suggested a huge start and in reality, it has exceeded all expectations. Now, as per the updated collection, Gabbar Singh has amassed a staggering 8.54 crores gross (including premieres) on day 1 at the worldwide box office with its re-run. With this, it has comfortably surpassed Mahesh Babu’s Murari to register the biggest opening in the history of Tollywood re-releases.

Out of 8.54 crores gross, the film has earned a whopping 5.26 crores gross from the Telugu states alone. From all India, it has earned 6.04 crores gross.

Murari 4K did a business of 5.41 crores gross on day 1 with its re-release and surpassed the previous best BusinessMan 4K (5.27 crores gross). Now, Murari is no more at the top as Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster has made a roaring start with 8.54 crores gross.

Pawan Kalyan’s previous best was Kushi, which did a business of 4.15 crores gross on day 1 with its re-release. In the lifetime run, it earned 7.46 crores gross, which will be easily surpassed by Gabbar Singh’s re-release.
