After waiting for over two weeks, the result of the Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 battle is finally out. Riding high on the franchise value and big names involved, the Ajay Devgn starrer was expected to be a winner by a big margin but surprisingly, Kartik Aaryan’s horror comedy has surprised everyone with its fantastic collection so far. Recently, both films wrapped up their third weekend and are cruising towards the 400 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Let’s find out where both biggies stand after 18 days!
Being a much bigger film in scale and buzz, the Singham threequel started its journey with a bang at ticket windows and despite a clash, it minted big numbers during the opening week. However, as the content wasn’t good enough, it started witnessing a downfall and even it suffered a setback in show count across the nation. The second week onwards, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa threequel secured a higher show count and as it had comparatively much better word-of-mouth, the film became the first choice of moviegoers in the Hindi belt.
Singham Again VS Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the Indian box office
In the opening week, Singham Again did a business of 186.60 crores at the Indian box office. In the second week, the numbers dropped heavily and 54.61 crores came in. During the third weekend, it earned another 13.14 crores. Yesterday, it stayed on fair lines and added another 2 crores. So, the overall tally is 256.35 crore net after 18 days, which equals 302.49 crore gross after including taxes.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 amassed 168.86 crores in the opening week. In the second week, the numbers dropped but stayed ahead of Ajay Devgn’s film by earning 66.01 crores. During the third weekend, it added another 16.78 crores. Yesterday, being the third Monday for the film, there was a considerable drop with 2.25 crores coming in. With this, the overall domestic collection stands at 253.90 crore net after 18 days. It equals 299.60 crore gross after including taxes.
Singham Again VS Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the worldwide box office
In overseas, both films have emerged as highly successful. The Kartik Aaryan starrer is in the lead with 87.90 crore gross. Ajay Devgn’s magnum opus has earned 82.49 crore gross so far. Combining the Indian gross and overseas gross, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa threequel stands at a whopping 387.50 crore gross. On the other hand, the Singham threequel stands at 384.98 crore gross.

Kartik Aaryan wins the battle!
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a much smaller film than Singham Again; reportedly, it is made at 150 crores. On the other hand, Ajay Devgn’s film is a magnum opus with a reported budget of 300 crores. Also, in global collections, Kartik Aaryan is ahead of Ajay, and the trend seems to remain the same till the end. So, it could be safely said that Kartik is the winner of the Diwali battle at the box office.
