Taarak Mehta Fame Mayur Vakani aka Sundarlal Once Sculpted Narendra Modi’s Statue & It Was Sold In Crores

We all love Mayur Vakani and his comic timing in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, but very little we know about his other skills. Today, we’ll be revealing one such skill of our beloved Sundarlal which is sure to leave you in awe.

For those who don’t know, Mayur plays the character of Sundarlal, brother of Daya, in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Apart from acting, Mayur is really a good sketch artist and we have seen his sketch glimpses on Instagram. However, his hand is good at sculpting too. Yes, you heard that right!

Not many people know that Mayur Vakani is a sculptor by profession. Even though the actor is doing great in his current profession, he is greatly indulged in another profession too, i.e., sculptor. He is so good that Mayur was once one of the leading members in preparing the Jhanki of Gujarat, which is displayed in Delhi during a parade of Republic Day.

That is not it, Mayur Vakani was also involved in making the statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the reports, the statue was so amazing that it was auctioned at a whopping price of 4 crores. It was bought by Laljhibai Patel, who is a businessman. Well, sculpting is not just a hobby for the actor as he has a qualification in the same field. Mayur has done Master’s in Indian Culture and Diploma in Sculpture and Drama.

Speaking of Mayur’s sister, Disha Vakani, the actress gained huge fame with the character of Daya. However, she is missing from the show since 2017. She took maternity leave back then and didn’t return ever since. Producer Asit Kumarr Modi has confirmed on several occasions that they are still talking with Disha for a comeback.
