Munmun Dutta aka Babita’s Role Reduced By Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Makers? Tanuj Mahashabde aka Iyer Breaks Silence

Munmun Dutta has been part of the news for the last couple of months due to not-so-good reasons. She has been missing from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Her character of Babita wasn’t part of any of the recent storylines nor she is seen currently. Due to all such stuff, reports of Munmun quitting TMKOC have arisen.

For the unversed, it was back in May, when Munmun used a casteist slur in her make-up tutorial. As soon as the video from her official YouTube went viral, netizens demanded her arrest. Some even demanded her removal from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Not just rage among people but Munmun even landed in trouble as FIRs in several parts of India were registered against her under the Atrocity Act.

While all these things were happening, viewers noticed that Munmun’s character was removed from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s storylines post casteist slur controversy. Many thought that the makers are keeping her out of the show till the matter settles down, while some thought Munmun might have quit TMKOC.

Thankfully, Munmun recently addressed her quitting rumours are termed them baseless. She asserted of very much being the part of the show. Though she confirmed that current storylines don’t feature her Babita’s character.

Now, Tanuj Mahashabde aka Krishnan Iyer has also opened up and addressed reports stating Munmun Dutta’s role has been deliberately reduced. As per the report in Odisha TV, Tanuj stated all such as mere rumours and even he’s confused from where such news comes up. He confirmed that Munmun is very much part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and her role isn’t reduced or removed.

He further added that his sequences haven’t been cut due to Munmun’s absence.
