Did You Know? Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Fame Disha Vakani Made Her Debut With A B-Grade Film

We’re back with one lesser-known about the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor and today, it’s about Disha Vakani. Very few people would be aware that the actress has worked in several Bollywood films before joining the show. In fact, Disha started her career with a B-grade film. Yes, you read that right! She made her debut in the industry and flipped her first stone with a B-grade film.

Disha’s journey in the entertainment industry began with a B-grade Bollywood movie. She was seen in the film titled Kamsin: The Untouched. The actress also did a few bold scenes. The film was released in 1997 and was made under the direction of Amit Suryavanshi. The intimate scenes from the film featuring Disha are coming to light on YouTube. She played the role of a young college girl who goes on a trip with a group of friends. However, problems arise when all of her friends start dying serially.

Apart from Kamsin, Disha Vakani has also acted in a few Gujarati theatre plays. She even did small roles in biggies such as Jodhaa Akbar, Mangal Pandey, and Devdas.

Finally, it was Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah that made Disha Vakani a household name. She plays adorable Gujarati wife, Daya, in the show. She has been part of the show since its inception i.e. 2008. It was 2017 when she took maternity leave from the show and never came back. Even though Disha has been away from the show for almost 3 years, she is still missed and loved by the fans and viewers.

There have been several reports stating Disha will make a comeback but the producer Asit Kumarr Modi has refuted all such reports as mere rumours. However, he has accepted that the talks are on and they are eagerly waiting to welcome their beloved Daya.
