We, all true WWE fans, felt blessed after witnessing a title change at Elimination Chamber 2021. Yes, we’re speaking about the ‘awesome’ entertainer, Michael Gregory Mizanin aka The Miz, who surprised one and all by defeating Drew McIntyre.
Speculations had it that it was Royal Rumble 2021 where the awesome one was supposed to become a new champ. But better late than never, it took place at Elimination Chamber as The Miz cashed in his contract on Drew McIntyre, who was attacked by Bobby Lashley. His win took us back in 2010 when the 40-year-old superstar had defeated Randy Orton to become a champ. Honestly, we really missed that ‘angry girl’!
But take that WWE Championship belt away from The Miz and still, he is one of the best in the business. Here’s why we think so:
Awesome on mic
To shine in WWE or any of the promotion, it takes more than just a good in-ring technique. Take a look at some amazing entertainers over the years- “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Mick Foley and many many others. They made a cult not just because of their in-ring actions, but it was their mic skills that charmed fans. And yes, The Miz belongs to that breed! Give him anything, he will pull off any promo with ease. It has always been fun to watch him.
Put him in any role and he will rock it!
Not just WWE champ, the entertainer even rocked it as an Intercontinental Champion. Be it being a complete villain or carrying funny promos, The Miz does it effortlessly.
Capable of seeking attention…always
You can hate him or love him, but you can’t ignore him! Such is the presence of The Miz. He is one such figure who grabs attention whenever he is inside the ring. Polarizing figure as he is, there are loyal haters and loyal lovers of this pro-wrestler.
Enjoys being undervalued
It isn’t that The Miz hasn’t been given any opportunities, but considering the other young bunch of pro-wrestlers who have received push like anything, the new champ hasn’t got that much on his platter. But leaving aside that, he has always enjoyed his stint and that’s the reason true fans respect him.
WWE has always been smart about making use of The Miz, and we hope the company continues to give us some exciting stuff.
