After waiting for eternity, finally, the day has come when KGF Chapter 2 release date is out. Yes, you read that right, as promised earlier this morning, the makers have unveiled the arrival of Yash aka Rocky Bhai.
If not COVID-19 pandemic, Yash’s KGF 2 would have arrived on Dussehra 2020 or Christmas of the last year. But unfortunately, plans got spoilt and the wait got further extended. But as the saying goes, “better late than never”. In fact, during all the extended period, the hype has built up more and more, thus making a rise in our excitement level.
Our beloved ‘Rocky’ Yash himself brought us KGF 2 release date update. As shared, the film is arriving in theatres on 16th July 2021 in five different languages- Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. With just 6 months more to go, it’s really hard to control the excitement and we’re sure fans would be counting days on their fingers from today onwards. Just a few moments ago, the actor dropped the update along with a brand new poster. He captioned it as, “Fasten your seat belt coz the date is set..”
KGF Chapter 2 is helmed by Prashanth Neel. It features Sanjay Dutt as Adheera. He’ll be playing an antagonist in the opposite of Yash. The film also features Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj in key roles.
The first instalment i.e. KGF Chapter 1 had released on 21st December 2018. It was a huge hit across all versions. It grabbed more limelight by clashing with Shah Rukh Khan‘s Zero.
Meanwhile, just a few days ago, we learnt that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment has bagged the Hindi distribution rights of KGF 2 at a whopping amount of 90 crores. The amount is said to be seven times more than that of its prequel. Interestingly, the banner has happily shed such a huge amount as the film carries a huge demand and huge profits are ensured.
