The svelte beauty’s remuneration has reportedly gone up sharply, following the release of her last film, Guntur Kaaram with superstar Mahesh Babu.
Sreeleela was supposedly paid a whopping 4 crores for her role in the film, which was an average affair at the box office, amassing a significant box office collection of 181 crores gross at the worldwide box office. Critics offered a range of reviews, varying from mixed to negative, particularly focusing on Trivikram’s direction, screenplay, and plot. However, Babu’s performance garnered widespread acclaim amidst the criticism.
Sreeleela’s previous major project was Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, for which she reportedly received a paycheck of 1.50 crores. In comparison, her salary for Guntur Kaaram marks a remarkable increase of 166%. This significant leap in compensation tells us that she is one of the top actresses of Tollywood today.
Based on available information, Sreeleela initially received just 5 lakh for her debut in Telugu cinema. Subsequently, she secured a deal for approximately 40 lakh for the film Dhamaka which was produced under the banner of People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts. After this, she only started picking projects, both in Kannada and Telugu that offered her a remuneration of 1 crore or more. And thus began her upward trajectory that has touched 4 crores now! Not an easy feat for any actress, we’d say.
