Prabhas-led Salaar has ended its glorious run at the worldwide box office after spending over a month in theatres. Despite tough competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, the film amassed a solid total and went beyond the milestone of 600 crores gross. In India and the overseas market, the magnum opus has turned out to be a commercial success.

Reception of Salaar

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar was released on 22nd December 2023, with paid premieres being held on 21st December in the US and Canada. Upon its release, the film opened to mostly mixed reviews. Speaking about the audience feedback, it was decent to mix, but the content received a thumbs-up in the mass centers.

Also, in the overseas centers, especially the US, Canada, and the Middle East regions, Salaar put up a solid show and amassed a major chunk of the box office business. As a result, the film managed to rake in a staggering moolah on the worldwide front.

Salaar’s run at the worldwide box office

Coming to the final collection update, Salaar has earned 407 crores net at the Indian box office. In Indian gross, the total stands at 480.26 crores. Even though the number looks big in isolation, it’s just about good considering the huge scale and budget of the film.

In the overseas market, too, Salaar has turned out to be a commercial success and raked in good returns for buyers. It did a total business of 135 crores gross.

Combining both Indian and overseas gross, Salaar did a business of 615.26 crores gross at the worldwide box office. Of course, a lot was expected from the film, but still, it managed to emerge as a good commercial success for Prabhas.
