Sameer Wankhede is in the news since he took over the drug angle in Bollywood post Sushant Singh Rajput's death
Dashing NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) zonal director Sameer Wankhede is making all the noise over the last few days. He’s in the news over the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. But more than anything else, people are interested in knowing what’s his salary. So, let’s discuss that.
On 3rd October, Sameer led NCB team detained Aryan Khan along with his friend and 6 others from a Mumbai-Goa cruise. After detainment, Aryan was arrested and is still behind the bars. He was part of a rave party, in which drugs consumption took place.
Wankhede works as a zonal director of NCB. Reportedly, he earns a monthly salary of 55-60k. Apart from the salary, he also enjoys allowances and other government facilities.
It was last year, after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Wankhede became a known face. When NCB took over the drugs angle in the case, Wankhede went on to discover several links of drug peddlers who supplied drugs to Bollywood celebrities.
Actors like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Rhea Chakraborty were grilled by Wankhede.
After completing secondary studies, Wankhede prepared for IRS (Indian Revenue Service) exam and cleared it. After successfully cracking the exam, he served as Deputy Customs Commissioner at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport of Mumbai.
Post-Deputy Customs Commissioner, Wankhede served the post of IRS officer. He has a clean image and is said to be very strict and disciplined in his work. After being an IRS officer for several years, Wankhede also served as Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and Entrepreneur.
At present, Wankhede is successfully serving the post of NCB zonal director. He’s currently handling the cruise party drugs case, in which Aryan Khan too was present.
