SS Rajamouli’s latest magnum opus, RRR, continues its thunderous run at the box office. The film enjoyed a glorious Monday, and now reports are really good for day 5 i.e. first Tuesday too.
Rajamouli is playing in his own league by breaking records with his own films. His latest release was touted to be a big money-spinner but many said that it won’t stand anywhere close to his Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. But guess what, the latest visual spectacle is proving everyone wrong and how!
Now, as per early estimates flowing in, RRR has done a splendid job on day 5 by earning 43-46 crores (all languages) at the box office. It’s a rock-steady trend when compared with Monday’s 49 crores. With estimates from total night shows yet to come, the figure might go a bit here and there.
Out of this, the Hindi version of RRR alone has earned 15.50-16.50 crores on day 5, and there’s hardly any fall if we compare it with day 4’s 17 crores. The overall total of the film now stands at 414-417 crores (all languages). Out of this humongous number, the Hindi version makes up 107-108 crores. Simply amazing!
It will be interesting to see if RRR hits the 500 crore mark in its first week!
Breaking down the numbers, the Telugu version continues to come down and it’s not really surprising. Yes, because in the past, we have seen several big films, irrespective of word-of-mouth, sliding down during weekdays after putting a thunderous opening. While many die-hard fans giving a go to the movie on the very first day is one factor behind sliding numbers, another thing is the reduction in ticket prices post the first weekend.
On a contrary, the trend in the Hindi belt has been quite interesting in recent times. Even during weekdays, films here continues to put a strong show.
