Let’s be honest, aren’t we being served anything in the name of the pan-Indian film? Well, now RRR is coming to give a tight slap on the faces of such makers who are labelling their product as a pan-Indian without taking proper efforts to really make it reach a huge crowd.

We all would agree to a point that Pushpa wasn’t well promoted for its Hindi version despite being Allu Arjun’s first-even pan-Indian film. However, the makers did their best and got themselves a good number of Hindi shows in theatres. So, we aren’t complaining about them.

We’re talking about the films like Ajith Kumar’s Valimai, Suriya’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan which despite having big South stars as face value, couldn’t manage to bag proper screening in other languages except for their origin language. Now, SS Rajamouli’s highly-anticipated RRR is all set to show them what a pan-Indian movie really means!

To show you the buzz and reach of RRR, we have brought you a short report of its advance booking.

Starting with Hyderabad, which is the key region for Telugu films, is already on a rampage mode. Still, there are 5 days to go, but RRR is already sold out at several places (2D shows). Screening for 3D is now opened at limited places, and are already in an ‘almost full’ zone. Isn’t that an insane craze?

Coming to ‘aamchi Mumbai’, RRR is really proving why it’s being called one of the most awaited Indian films. There’s The Kashmir Files’ storm and Akshay Kumar’s fresh release Bachchhan Paandey grabbing eyeballs at the box office. Amid it, bookings for the Hindi version of Rajamouli’s film has already been kick-started (although not full-fledged) and several shows are already in the ‘almost full’ zone. At some places, ticket bookings have picked up the pace. The same is the situation with the Delhi-NCR region.

In Ahmedabad and Chandigarh too early promising signs are seen as RRR is grabbing eyeballs in advance booking.

Remember, this is the situation 5 days before release. Just imagine the momentum the film will get 2 or 1 day before the release.

(Note: % of advance booking is to yet come as clear picture of the total number of shows/screens will get clear by Wednesday).
