Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is all set to hit theatres tomorrow. It stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in key roles and also features Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra in key roles. Coming from the house of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is enjoying good pre-release buzz and here’s its day 1 advance booking update at the box office.
Karan Johar’s directorial comeback
The romantic drama marks the comeback of Karan Johar as a director. He last directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which was released in 2016. The man has given zero flops in his career, and his latest film too is expected to do well. The trailer and a couple of songs have done their job, and considering the back-to-back successes like Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, and SatyaPrem Ki Katha, it is safe to say that romantic comedies are in trend among the audience.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani day 1 advance booking update
After a slow start, the film has picked up really well in the advance booking since yesterday, especially in the national cinema chains. Speaking about the latest update (as of 7:30 PM), the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer has sold tickets worth 3.55 crores gross all across the country for day 1 (excluding blocked seats).
Speaking about the ticket count, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has sold around 1.05 lakh tickets in India. By 12 AM, the film is expected to sell tickets worth 4.50 crores gross.

Coming to the advance booking buzz on BookMyShow, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is selling 4.62K tickets per hour in India through the online ticket booking platform. The selling rate will see a further spike.
