In India, Radhe released in just 3 theatres
Radhe Box Office (India): Salman Khan’s highly anticipated cop drama finally hits theatres on 13th May. It faced a delay of almost a year but managed to release on the auspicious occasion of Eid. Here in India, the film broke records on the OTT platform and pay-per-view. Unknown to many, the film saw its arrival in theatres too, but the number was just 3.
Yes, you read that right! Salman’s film saw its release in just Tripura state and that too in just 3 theatres. Out of them, 2 falls in Agartala city. Due to a night curfew, the film is playing with the last show at 3 pm. In the first 4 days (extended weekend), the Eid release made 60,000 rupees. But post that, it has nosedived.
On Thursday (20th May), Radhe completed a run of an 8-day extended week in theatres. Post weekend i.e. in the last 4 days, it managed to just put 4,000 rupees approx. in the kitty. Thus, the box office total in India now stands at 64,000 rupees. Looking at the fall and almost negligible collection coming in, the film is expected to be removed from theatres.
In the overseas market, Radhe has been able to rake in $1.97 million. The lifetime is expected to be around $3 million.
Meanwhile, if we talk of digital platforms, Salman Khan’s latest release in making new records. During its first weekend, Radhe has clocked 10 million views out of which, 4.2 million came on day 1.
Directed by Prabhudeva, Radhe features Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Arjun Kanungo in key roles, apart from Salman. The film is available on pay-per-view ZEEPlex through ZEE5 and DTH platforms- Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV, Tata Sky and Videocon D2H.
