Pawankhind has brought back the golden days for the Marathi film industry with its box office numbers. Thanks to such a phenomenal run, the fraternity is hopeful of churning out some more blockbusters. Now, let’s check out the latest collection update till today i.e. day 26.
Released on 18th February, the Marathi historical drama completed a theatrical run of 26 days on Tuesday (15th March). Surpassing everyone’s expectations, the film broke previous box office records in the Marathi film industry by surpassing some really big blockbusters.
Last time we covered how Pawankhind surpassed Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy and made entry into the top 10 highest-grossing Marathi movies. As per the latest update, it has toppled some more movies.
In 26 days, Pawankhind has earned 34 crores, and it has surpassed Timepass 2 (29 crores), Duniyadari (30 crores), Naal (32 crores) and Timepass (33 crores). It is now the 5th highest Marathi grosser of all time. The film is expected to end its journey at the same position as the next target is Katyaar Kaaljat Ghusali (42 crores) and it’s a very long distance to be covered.

The film is directed by Digpal Lanjekar and it stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Ajay Purkar, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Astad Kale, Mrinal Kulkarni, Ankit Mohan, Prajakta Mali, Harish Dudhade and others in pivotal roles.
