Kushi Re-Release Box Office: Pawan Kalyan Beats His Own Jalsa, Sets A New Record

Pawan Kalyan fans had a gala time celebrating their new year as they got to witness the re-release of Kushi. The film did superb business at the box office across the globe. In fact, it went onto shatter previous records made by none other than Kalyan himself.

Trend of re-releases on the rise

Undoubtedly, the trend of re-releases is rising among the Indian films industries. Out of all, it’s the Tollywood industry which is witnessing the utmost craze. Last year, we saw fans celebrating Pawan Kalyan’s birthday with his Jalsa having a re-run for a day. Even during the birthdays of Mahesh Babu and Prabhas, special shows were arranged of their old films.

Kushi re-release box office collection

Originally, the film was released back in 2001. Also starring Bhumika Chawla in the lead role, the romantic-comedy was a huge commercial success upon its release and became a cult over the years.

It was re-released on 31st December 2022 and as expected, it got a bumper response from the audience. In a single day itself, it earned an impressive total of 3.6 crores gross from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, reports TrackTollywood.com. Speaking about the worldwide collection, Kushi has earned 4.1 crores gross.

Kalyan is beating himself when it comes to the box office of re-releases. On his last birthday, his Jalsa had earned 3 crores gross through its re-release. With Kushi, the Telugu superstar has surpassed himself.

In the past, we have seen old films of superstars re-releasing in theatres but none of them have managed to register record-breaking numbers. Let’s see if any star manages to surpass the benchmark set by Pawan Kalyan films or the star continues to break his own records at the box office.
