Karthikeya 2 starring Nikhil Siddharth is doing terrific business across the country. The film has stolen all the limelight from last Thursday’s releases- Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Let’s see how much collection the latest Telugu release has made till now at the box office.
The sequel to the 2014 Telugu thriller released last Saturday in Telugu and Hindi languages. It took a good start in the Telugu market on an opening day but now, it is growing strength to strength to put solid numbers on board even during the weekdays. Overall, the film has already entered a profit zone.
As per the latest trade report, Karthikeya 2 has made a collection of 22 crores in the first 4 days. Out of this, 2.73 crores have come from the Hindi version and the rest of the collection has come from the original Telugu version. With such a collection, the film has already recovered its budget and made some good profits.
The budget of Karthikeya 2 is 15 crores, which makes its profit stand at 7 crores after removing the budget from 22 crores. If converted into a percentage, the returns stand at 46.66%, which is almost near 50%. As word-of-mouth is exceptional and it has just started spreading across the Hindi belt, expect some strong collection and returns in the coming days.
Speaking about the worldwide box office collection, Karthikeya 2 stands at 32.15 crores in 4 days.
On public demand, the number of shows and the overall count has been increased by the exhibitors. On day 1, the Hindi version had a show count of 157. From today onwards, the show count has been increased to around 1580. Reportedly, the overall screen count would go as high as 1000 for the film.
One must say that Karthikeya 2 has been a good alternative after the disastrous performance of both Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan.
