Rishab Shetty’s Kantara is refusing to slow down at the box office as the numbers have picked up due to the Hindi dubbed version’s release. As of today, the film has completed its 15 days in theatres and it’s already a blockbuster. The latest thing is now related to the film’s century on the worldwide front. The film was originally released in the Kannada language on 30th September. Since its release, it has been receiving rave reviews from all over and word-of-mouth is spreading like a wildfire. Thanks to such appreciation, the film is already a blockbuster in the original Kannada version.
Yesterday, Kantara released in Hindi and as expected, it took a decent start at the box office. While it will add some more numbers to the overall tally, the film has already unleashed the feat of hitting the 100 crore mark at worldwide box office. Yes, that’s right! The Rishab Shetty directorial has earned 79 crores nett (Kannada, Telugu and Hindi) so far, which equals to 93.22 crores gross collection. Adding the overseas figure of 9 crores, the overall worldwide collection stands at 102.22 crores gross.
Made on a moderate budget of 20 crores, Kantara has done unthinkable by going above 100 crores globally. Apart from Hindi, the film will be releasing today in Tamil dubbed version today, so expect some really good numbers coming in from hereon. Let’s see if it manages to hit the 150 crore mark.
