Daaku Maharaaj Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1: 2nd Biggest Opening For Nandamuri Balakrishna, Earns Above 40 Crores

Yesterday, Nandamuri Balakrishna, aka the God of Masses, came up with his Sankranti blast in the form of Daaku Maharaaj. Though the makers didn’t promote the film well, it surprisingly opened with strong numbers. Backed by good pre-sales in India, the film clocked a solid domestic start. Overseas, too, it opened with sensational numbers. Overall, it registered the second-highest day 1 collection for the actor at the worldwide box office!

The veteran Tollywood star was last seen in Bhagavanth Kesari, which was released in October 2023. It means that he arrived on the big screen after a gap of over a year. Expectedly, there was an excitement among fans. And with the backing of Sankranti festive mood and Sunday release, it fetched impressive numbers.

Daaku Maharaaj released only in one language and that’s Telugu, so almost the entire chunk of business came from Telugu states. Inclusive of other regions, it clocked a solid 26 crore net at the Indian box office on day 1. It’s the second best opening for Balayya in India after Veera Simha Reddy’s 34 crore net.

In the overseas market, Daaku Maharaaj clocked a strong start of 12 crore gross, with 9.40 crores coming from North America alone (USA and Canada). UAE-GCC contributed 0.50 crore. UK and Ireland contributed 1.09 crores, while Australia contributed 0.56 crore.

Combining the Indian and overseas gross, Daaku Maharaaj’s day 1 at the worldwide box office stands at an impressive 42.68 crore gross. This is the second-best start for Nandamuri Balakrishna after Veera Simha Reddy’s 47.30 crore gross.
