Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna, and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles, is finally out in theatres. With no competition standing in front, the film has been allocated a solid show count, and backed by strong support from Maharashtra, it is ready to post smashing numbers at the Indian box office on day 1. Going by the final advance booking and other factors, the film is ready to create history today. Keep reading for a detailed prediction and pre-sales report!
Terrific advance booking for day 1
The Bollywood magnum opus has surprised everyone with its trend in advance booking and in the final number, it came close to the 14 crore mark. Yes, you read that right! The film has closed its day 1 pre-sales at 13.80 crore gross (excluding blocked seats), which is fantastic. This includes a sale of 4.88 lakh+ tickets at the Indian box office.
The pre-sales are dominated by Maharashtra, with the state alone contributing 8.31 crore gross (excluding blocked seats). The rest of the country is not up to the mark.
Chhaava day 1 prediction
Backed by solid advances, Chhaava is looking to dominate the number game today. Considering the scale and subject, the film has secured a solid show count across the country, with the final number crossing 14,000 shows. With such a show count, even a decent occupancy throughout the day ensures a strong number and in the case of this Vicky Kaushal starrer, the buzz is good on the ground level.
Another plus is that Chhaava has no big competitor in front of it, so it’s going to be a solo ride. On top of that, there’s Valentine’s Day today. In the past, films have benefitted tremendously due to Valentine’s Day, and even today, Vicky’s film will enjoy a good boost due to this factor.
So considering all positives, Chhaava is aiming for a massive day 1 collection of 23-26 crore net at the Indian box office. It is assumed that the film will enjoy a solid response from the walk-in audience.
With such a number, the film is going to create history today by registering the biggest-ever opening for a Bollywood film in the month of February. So, it could be described as the most important film in Vicky Kaushal’s career.
