Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor is in theatres and has completed its day 1 on a rocking note. Today, the film is aiming to score another big day. But even before the first shows of the second day are over, excellent reports for day 3 advance booking are coming in, which is really astonishing.
This Ayan Mukerji directorial is the most expensive film in Bollywood and the hype in the last few days has been tremendous. Earlier, it felt that this biggie is in a dicey position due to boycott trends and social media negativity. However, no one was aware of the undercurrent it was carrying, especially among the young audience. Being an event film, tickets are being sold out like hotcakes and the response isn’t slowing down. In fact, it is just getting bigger and bigger.
Speaking of day 2, the advance booking for Brahmastra already crossed 20 crores gross yesterday night and now, as per trade reports flowing in, day 3 is aiming for a much bigger number. As of now, around 3.60 lakh tickets are sold for Sunday. It makes up for a little over 12 crores gross from ticket sales. With so many hours still and tickets getting sold at a rapid pace, it’s confirmed that 20 crores would be sure shot it. It won’t be a surprise if the film even manages to hit 22 crores.
Brahmastra is in on an acceleration mode now and the Sunday would be mammoth, to say the least. With such kind of advance booking response, day 3 is aiming to be over 40 crores. So, it’s clear that the film would be performing to an optimal level during the weekend. All eyes are now set on Monday, which will decide the fate of this magnum opus.
