Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is refusing slow down at the box office. Boosting that momentum further, the film got a big push all thanks to National Cinema Day. And guess what, it managed to record the biggest third Friday in the history of Hindi cinema by surpassing terrific numbers of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (Hindi).
For the unversed, the magnum opus helmed by Ayan Mukerji sold 11 lakh+ tickets through advance bookings only. It all happened due to ticket rates being priced at just 75 rupees (2D and 3D) and 15-200 rupees (IMAX 3D). Being a big screen spectacle, the film successfully attracted outstanding footfalls for normal 3D and IMAX 3D versions. But what turned out to be more interesting is that even 2D version witnessed houseful boards. All thanks to this, the film pulled off an earth-shattering feat for third Friday.
