Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is finally in theatres all across the country and it is off to a flying start at the box office. Starring Kartik Aaryan in a lead, the film has put on a strong performance on its day 1 with early estimates suggesting more than an expected start.
It’s a sequel to Akshay Kumar’s 2007 hit, Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Ever since it was announced, there have been mixed feelings among movie lovers as Kartik replacing Akshay looked like a big gamble. However, things have turned out to really good as the film is receiving positive word-of-mouth with praises coming in for Kartik.
For those who don’t know, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is in a clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad. It felt like a competition, however, in reality, it’s a one-sided victory for Kartik Aaryan led horror-comedy. Speaking about the day 1 collection, early estimates state that the film is earning 13-15 crores. So, it has a big chance of becoming the biggest post-pandemic opener for Bollywood by surpassing Bachchhan Paandey’s 13.25 crores. Let’s wait till tomorrow for official figures to come.
Many had predicted a start of 10-11 crores for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, but with word-of-mouth spreading like a wildfire, the film is rocking on its day 1. On the other hand, Kangana’s Dhaakad is completely a no show at the box office, giving an open ground to BB 2.
