The film is overall enjoying a positive word-of-mouth
Antim starring Aayush Sharma and Salman Khan opened to a fair day 1 at the box office. After an ‘okay okay’ start, some kind of growth, if not huge, was expected and thankfully, the same thing has been witnessed on day 2.
For those who don’t know, the film took a start of 5 crores* on day 1. However, the official numbers are yet to come out. As it’s clear by now that the film is shouldered by Aayush Sharma, the entire crowd-pulling effect of Salman Khan isn’t seen, which is totally understood.
Speaking of day 2, early estimates suggest that Antim has earned in the range of 5.80-6.20 crores*. As the film isn’t made on a huge budget, the film might become a theatrical success, if consistency in the numbers is seen.
Antim’s total Indian collection is now 10.80-11.20 crores*. The numbers are really good, and if it manages to show a big jump by hitting a double-digit score today, a good target of 20 crores+ weekend would be achieved.
The film is primarily enjoying good responses in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi. The film would have performed much better in absence of a 50% occupancy rule in theatres of Maharashtra.
Helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Antim is an official remake of 2018’s Marathi blockbuster, Mulshi Pattern. It also stars Sachin Khedekar, Mahima Makwana, Sayaji Shinde, Upendra Limaye, Sharad Ponkshe and others.
