Antim Box Office Day 3: Early Estimates Suggest A Good Jump On Sunday

While John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate 2 has turned out to be a no-show, Antim has managed to grab the attention of the viewers. Starring Aayush Sharma and Salman Khan in key roles, the film witnessed a good jump on day 3 after showing a slight growth on Saturday.

The crime drama is an official remake of the Marathi blockbuster film, Mulshi Pattern. The original is directed by Pravin Vitthal Tarde and stars Om Bhutkar, Upendra Limaye in key roles. Speaking of the remake, it is helmed by renowned director Mahesh Manjrekar.

Antim opened by earning 5 crores* on day 1. The film witnessed a slight growth and made 6 crores* on Saturday. On Sunday i.e. day 3, the film witnessed a good jump and did a business of 7.75-8 crores. Such growth is seen due to good word-of-mouth among people. The collection now stands at 18.75-19 crores. The number is really good as the film isn’t riding on a high budget. On weekdays, a stable trend is expected in numbers.

Antim has performed best in Maharashtra and Gujarat state. It also performed really well in the parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Aayush Sharma-led crime drama has a good chance to enjoy most of its theatrical run as this Friday’s release, Tadap, caters to the young audience. So, for the family audience, Antim will remain the first choice. Yes, collections will get somewhat affected in Mumbai as a good chunk of the young crowd will watch Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria starrer.

Tadap’s trailer has been well received among young viewers, and even its music has earned a good pre-release buzz for the film. And not to forget that the film is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala with a renowned director like Milan Luhtria handling it. All these things will surely benefit Tadap in securing a decent screen count. So, it will be interesting to see how Aayush Sharma’s crime drama sustains.
