The second wave of COVID-19 seems to hit Bollywood. After Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, another renowned actor tested positive in the form of Manoj Bajpayee. He has been asked to quarantine himself in his own house. Manoj was shooting for his upcoming series, Dispatch. However, after being tested positive, the shooting has come to a halt. The actor has also released a statement where he has shared about how he became a victim of this virus. He says that he is paying the price of someone else’s mistake.Â
After being quarantined, Manoj Bajpayee appeared in a virtual media interaction in which he said that he is currently staying in his house. “I got infected because someone else was not following the rules properly. If people follow the protocol of COVID-19 properly, then there would not be an issue, and the situation will remain under control”, said Bajpayee.Â
He also expressed that the production house must keep an eye on whether every member on the set is following the protocol. It is quite obvious that the shoot cannot be completed successfully if people do not take the necessary precautions. One should carry masks and sanitisers while stepping outside. They have become a part of our lives.Â
The cast of the series ‘Dispatch’ has also issued a statement confirming that the actor is found Corona positive. According to the statement, previously, the director of the series also tested positive following which Manoj Bajpayee decided to take a precautionary test. Currently, the filming of the series has been suspended for a few months until the entire cast does not recuperate properly. Proper medicines have been prescribed to him for a speedy recovery.
