After receiving love and appreciation at the Karnataka box office, Kantara is all set to release tomorrow in Hindi dubbed version across the country. It happens rarely that a film gets dubbed for a particular language on public demand. So let’s see how it is faring at the box office for day 1 advance booking.
Directed by Rishab Shetty, this film joins the list of Sandalwood successes of 2022 which already includes KGF Chapter 2, 777 Charlie and Vikrant Rona. Originally the film released on 30th September. The word-of-mouth has been so positive that people watched this Rishab Shetty directorial in Kannada even though they didn’t know the language, thanks to English subtitles.
The full fledged advance booking for Kantara opened yesterday. Initially, the film was planned of releasing on 800 screens but thanks to demand among public, distributors and exhibitors decided to showcase the film on 2500 screens. Speaking about the advance booking, the film has performed decent so far as it has accumulated around 15 lakhs for day 1.
As the film isn’t driven by any known face to the Hindi audience, Kantara is expected to perform all throttle in walk-ins. In fact, it won’t be a surprise if the film performs better than Ayushmann Khurrana’s Doctor G, which also releases tomorrow.
