Yesterday, we got an assurance that Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar feud isn’t ending soon. But will it be stretched to Wrestlemania 38 main event? Below is all you need to know about what’s WWE’s game plan.
WWE is keeping an eye on a feud between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Ever since Brock returned, there’s curiosity and interest among fans to see what happens between the two big men. So, as expected, the initial plans have now been changed.
As per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning to stretch Roman and Brock’s feud all the way to Wrestlemania 38 main event. Yes, you read that right! For the same reason, we saw an unsatisfying ending to their Crown Jewel match. A lot has to be settled, specifically, a revelation has to be done about Paul Heyman’s role. Is he with Brock or Roman? no one really knows.
Earlier, as per reports, The Rock’s name was in discussion to be put as an opponent against Roman at Wrestlemania 38. However, the latest update states that the great one has been planned for Wrestlemania 39‘s main event which will take place at SoFi Stadium.
For those who don’t know, Brock Lesnar’s new contract that has been signed right before SummerSlam, reportedly comprises 8 matches. It also has an 18-month working agreement between WWE and Brock. With Crown Jewel 2021 witnessing one match between Brock and Roman, 7 are still left.
WWE is using Brock’s 8 matches very carefully, especially considering the competition they are currently facing from rival promotion, AEW. Brock still remains to be the biggest box office draw for Vince McMahon and co., so they are trying to reap his draw to maximum potential. However, it’s still unclear whether Roman will still be the Universal Champion till WM 38.
