KV Vijayendra Prasad revealed some shocking details about how SS Rajamouli rejected directing Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He also stated Rajamouli regrets rejecting the offer to direct the film.
Salman’s movie is based on a Pakistani mute girl who is left behind in India and wants to return to her country. The film was a huge box office hit, and the audience loved the character of Pawan and Munni played by Salman and Harshali respectively. In 2015, when the movie came out, it added earned a big reputation for Kabir Khan. The film grossed 915 crores worldwide.
Initially, KV Vijayendra Prasad (the main writer of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and co-writer of Baahubali) wanted SS Rajamouli to direct the film. However, when Prasad narrated the story of the movie to Rajamouli, he was didn’t listen to it seriously as he was involved more in Baahubali at that time.
It’s learned that SS Rajamouli now regrets rejecting the direction of the film. Initially, after listening to the story, he said that he isn’t interested. Eventually, Kabir Khan directed the film, and the rest is known to the world. Prasad said that he mostly blames himself for getting his story rejected from SS.
While speaking to a leading daily, Vijayendra Prasad said, “I chose the wrong time to narrate the story. I narrated the story to Rajamouli when he was shooting the was sequences. It was peak time for us, and he was fully focused on the shoot. I should have picked a proper time to narrate the story to my son,” Koimoi reports.
Currently, SS Rajamouli is working on his upcoming movie RRR, which is exceptionally hyped in the industry. The film will hit the theatre screens in the mid of October. The best part is that it will be the debut film of Alia Bhatt in the Telugu industry, along with Ajay Devgn.
