Two of the most popular comedians from The Great Indian Laughter Challenge camp- Kapil and Raju Srivastava are all set to make a comeback on the small screen. While Kapil is coming with The Kapil Sharma Show, Raju is coming with his new comedy show. So, it will be basically a competition between two great stand-up comedians.
For the unversed, Raju is coming with his show, Hanste Raho with Raju Srivastava.
From The Great Indian Laughter Challenge days, Raju took the stand-up comedy to another level and increased its audience base. He used to mimic various celebrities, and his Gajodhar act is well known. However, he has been missing from the silver screen for a very long time. The good news is that the comedian is making a comeback and is ready to make you laugh till it hurts you.
Initially, Raju’s new show was planned to release on the OTT platform. However, the team was flooded with offers from various channels. Hence, it will not be releasing on OTT now. Many believe that Raju’s new show will affect the ratings of The Kapil Sharma Show.
In a recent media interaction, Raju Srivastava was asked if Kapil Sharma feels threatened because of the increasing competition. He answered, “He is not scared at all. He is more like a brother to me. We have done some shows together, and there was a time when he used to come to watch my shows. He is doing really well for himself.”
Further, he continued, “I feel our country is really huge. Our India is so grand that one or two comedy shows are not enough. There should be more shows in the country.”
Raju even spoke about Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul is the biggest competition in the world of comedy. Rahul is a bigger comedian than anyone else. He said, “We’ll be pulling his legs too.”
