Box Office 2023: After an initial dull phase in the post-COVID-19 era, Bollywood is back and how! This year has proved that the Hindi film industry isn’t going anywhere, no matter how much boycott trends run on social media platforms. The year started with a bang, with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan crossing 1000 crores at the worldwide box office. Now, even Jawan is witnessing an unbelievable run and has entered the list of highest-grossing Indian films of the year.
The year 2023 has witnessed four Indian films going past the mark of 500 crores gross globally. Interestingly, out of these four films, three are from Bollywood, including a 1000 crore grosser in the form of Pathaan. Even Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is chasing the same milestone. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is well beyond the 500 crore mark. Kollywood has one 500 crore+ grosser in the form of Rajinikanth’s Jailer.
